You know, I was really pulling for Eberflus to right the ship. But this was 100% the right move. In fact, it should have been done sooner. But after that absolute debacle in the final 36 seconds of the Lions game, the Bears front office determined they had no other choice. So for the first time in franchise history the Bears have fired a head coach during the season.
But damn, they did him a little bit dirty letting him do the zoom call then firing him after. As if firing him isn’t enough, it seems like they had to humiliate him as well. I don’t like how they handled it, at all. To let the man go to the podium and speak about prepping for the 49ers then give him to boot. That’s just dirty pool.
But hey, what’s done is done. Thomas Brown is the interim HC and it’s a new day for the Chicago Bears. Let’s see what Brown can do on this 5 game audition. I’m pulling for him the same as I did for Flus. Let’s go Bears!
